Ureaplasma urealyticum-PCR is a qualitative kit for the qualitative determination of the DNA of the Ureaplasma urealyticum genome in the test sample. Qualitative PCR kits are used to determine whether an infectious agent is present in a sample.
Ureaplasma urealyticum is a species of Ureaplasma, a genus of bacteria belonging to the family Mycoplasmataceae. Ureaplasma parvum is a uterine commensal, a member of the uterine microbiome, in healthy women of reproductive age. In addition, this pathogen can latently infect the chorionic villi tissue of pregnant women, thus affecting the outcome of pregnancy.

During the polymerase chain reaction, the DNA of the Ureaplasma urealyticum genome (target analyte) and the human-specific genetic sequence (internal control) is sequentially amplified, resulting in the release of specific fluorophores (FAM) and (HEX), respectively. Their fluorescence is recorded using a photofluorimeter of an automatic analyzer (amplifier).
The Ureaplasma urealyticum-PCR quality Ingeneko® kit consists of the following components designed to carry out 100 reactions:
Component | Volume | Quantity |
Buffer «Ureaplasma urealyticum» | 1.0 ml | 2 pcs |
Positive standard | 1.0 ml | 1 pcs |
Negative standard | 2.0 ml | 1 pcs |
All components of the kit can be stored for 1 year from the date of manufacture without loss of effectiveness. All kit components are stored at -25°C to -16°C after transport. Repeated thawing and freezing (> 2 times) of the master mix and positive control should be avoided as this may affect assay performance.
