MELODY is a new mammography unit that combines high image quality with improved user ergonomics.

Thanks to the use of advanced technologies, exposure accuracy always gives an accurate result, but special attention is always paid to reducing the radiation dose to the patient. Integrated quality control and self-calibration procedures fine-tune system parameters to ensure maximum diagnostic reliability and repeatability.

The biopsy-ready version features an isocentric C-arm rotation that allows you to switch from cranio-caudal to lateral view without having to reposition the device vertically: a great time saver for high-volume departments. This particular version is compatible with the stereotactic biopsy system, allowing for highly accurate 3D lesion localization. Biopsy system positioning support is compatible with most biopsy needles and guns.

Melody III D TS is equipped with an automatic collimator specifically designed for tomosynthesis, capable of applying trapezoidal diagnostic field correction and compensation of area distortion depending on the rotation of the X-ray tube.

Tomosynthesis enhances the standard diagnostic procedure offering more accurate detection of tumors and masses and is fundamental in the case of patients with dense breast tissue. In 2D (Standard Mammogram) mode, the two anatomical structures overlap and are indistinct. However, they can be recognized as separate objects thanks to the 3D mode (tomosynthesis function), which consists of taking a series of 2D images from different angles. Sections of the mammary gland are obtained at different depths.
