Chronos is an innovative 3-seat digital X-ray diagnostic system from Villa Sistemi Medicali based on a dynamic transcopanel detector, designed to improve the quality and efficiency of diagnostic imaging. It combines high-precision fluoroscopy with productive radiography, ensuring consistent image quality and an optimized workflow.
The system is equipped with intelligent automation, a compact design and AI-based functions that increase the efficiency of the diagnostic process, improve the quality of patient care and create comfortable working conditions for the operator.
The unique geometry of the system allows the X-ray tube-detector unit to be moved outside the tabletop, allowing for AIR examinations, when the anatomical area is positioned directly above the image receiver. The isocentric tilt of the system further optimizes its working area, making Chronos an ideal solution for rooms with limited space. The remote-controlled table provides precise, smooth movements for easy patient positioning and increased work speed.
The system allows for digital fluoroscopy and radiography, thereby completely eliminating the need for analog (film) images. The examination process is maximally automated: exposure parameters and tripod positioning are performed automatically. The obtained images can be archived on digital media, transmitted to PACS information networks or printed on medical printers with DICOM protocol support.
Chronos can be equipped with an integrated 3D camera with artificial intelligence algorithms, which automatically determines the patient's orientation, position, body type and anatomical area relative to the detector. This technology helps the operator during positioning, reduces the number of manual adjustments
Advanced imaging capabilities, including digital tomosynthesis and automatic image stitching, provide accurate reconstruction of anatomical structures. This is especially important during spine studies, scoliosis assessment and visualization of long tubular bones, which significantly expands the diagnostic potential of the system.
In the maximum configuration, the system is additionally equipped with an exclusive AIR (Anatomy on Image Receptor) mode, which involves moving the “X-ray tube-detector” unit beyond the tabletop. This allows you to perform a full range of direct examinations, including patients with injuries who are on wheelchairs.
The system is equipped with several screening grids that are automatically set according to the selected anatomical program and focal length. Also, for examinations without a grid, the grid is automatically moved out of the irradiation field into a parking space.
The table height adjustment range is from 40 to 124 cm from the floor level, and the permissible load reaches 285 kg without restriction of movement. This allows you to examine patients of different categories - children, overweight people, elderly patients and people with mobility impairments - ensuring safety, convenience and optimal organization of the workflow.
Compact design with integrated digital and electronic modules, which reduces installation complexity and ensures rational use of space. Unlike traditional R/F systems, where individual components are placed in different cabinets or blocks, in this system the hardware, electronics and digital processing modules are combined in a single design. This approach increases the reliability of the equipment, simplifies installation and reduces commissioning time.
