Ultrasound course – Echocardiographic assessment of ischemic and non-ischemic myocardial pathology

02/24/24 the Medigran company, together with the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center, held a professional school “Echocardiographic assessment of ischemic and non-ischemic myocardial pathology” in the city of Lviv

The course covered:

• Definition of ischemic cardiomyopathy. Ischemic mitral insufficiency. Echocardiographic assessment of ICMP.
• Dilated cardiomyopathy. Diagnosis and differentiation. Myocarditis: the possibility of visual diagnosis.
• Nondilated cardiomyopathy – a “new” pathology? Hypertrabecularity of the myocardium.
• Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Features of diagnostics of different phenotypes. Assessing the risk of sudden death. Indications for surgical intervention.
• Phenocopy of HCM. Cardiac amyloidosis: clues to echocardiographic diagnosis. What you need to know about Fabry disease
• Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.
• Restrictive cardiomyopathies. Loeffler's endocarditis.
• Rare ILC. Sarcoidosis of the heart. Takotsubo cardiomyopathy.
• MRI diagnostics in differentiating ischemic and non-ischemic heart pathologies.

Practical classes were held on innovative ultrasound machines ALPINION (South Korea):

• updated expert-class device X-CUBE 90 with Elite
• new portable expert class devices X-CUBE i9 and X-CUBE i8 – for the first time in Ukraine
